Obituary for Martine E. "Teeny" Hersh (Snyder)

Martine E. “Teeny” Hersh, 94, formerly of Green Lane, PA, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Frederick Living. She was the widow of Lester W. “Gus” Hersh.

She was born in Sumneytown, a daughter of the late Adam and Sarah (McKnight) Snyder. Mrs. Hersh was employed for twenty-five years at the former American Olean Tile in Lansdale before retiring in 1988.
Teeny was a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sumneytown where she served twenty-years as a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Receptionist and Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the VFW and Green Lane and Red Hill Fire Companies.

She is survived by her children: Ardythe D., wife of the late Ronald Musselman, of Spring Mount; Terry L., husband of Roxanne Hersh, of Gilbertsville; Vicki E. Dowlatow, of Gilbertsville; and Leslie J. Buck and partner Bryan Lokez, of Allentown; Siblings: Jean Bair, of Williston, VT; Samuel Snyder, of Frederick; and Sarah Benner, of Tuscon, AZ; Grandchildren: Troy, Kristin and husband Shawn, Tina and husband Robert, Michael and wife Heather, Tara and husband Brian, Rachael and husband John, Megan and husband David, Melanie and husband Tim; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also anticipating a great-great-grandchild on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings: Joyce Detweiler, Jordan Snyder, Adam Snyder, Grace Logar, Myrtle Fitzgerald, and John Snyder.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3104 Main St., Green Lane, PA 18084. Officiating will be Rev. Rebecca Schanely. Calling time will be from 10-11 AM at the church. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Frederick Living Benevolence Fund, 2849 Big Road, Zieglerville, PA 19492.
