Obituary for Mildred M. Miller (Schmoyer)

Mildred M. Miller, 91, formerly of East Greenville, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Phoebe Healthcare Center in Richlandtown. She was the wife of the late George F. Miller, sharing 52 years of marriage before his passing.

Born in Huff’s Church, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Jennie I. (Baus) Schmoyer.

Mildred was a proprietor in Litzenberger’s Garage in Hereford from 1952-1978 and worked as a seamstress at various garment factories from 1978-1988. She also worked as a custodian at Upper Perkiomen Middle School, retiring in 1993.

She was a lifetime member of Huff’s Union Church where she was a part of the Dutch Players. She was also a member of the East Greenville and Huff’s Church Ladies Grundsow. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, crafting, coloring and baking Pennsylvania Dutch Treats.

Surviving are her children, Richard C. Litzenberger, Glenn R. Miller and wife, Viviane, Sandra E. Litzenberger-Burks, and Elaine J., wife of Dr. Joseph Perez; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Stephanie, Sean, Christopher, Theresa, Amanda, Amy, Jennifer, Adam and Olivia; eleven great-grandchildren, Demetrius, Alexander, Josiah, Isaiah, Jacob, Cora, Joelle, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Archer and Augustus; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her first husband, Clarence Litzenberger; a daughter, Patricia A. Gehris; and two brothers Wilmer and Donald Schmoyer.
