Obituary for Pauline L. Nester (Cressman)

Pauline L. (Cressman) Nester, 84, of Green Lane, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Hoppenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louise (Fels) and Septimus Cressman, Jr., husband of the late Edna (Wolf) Cressman.

Pauline was a UPHS graduate class of 1956.

Pauline was a loving mother and dedicated her time to her children and the children of others. She was a foster parent for Catholic Social Services for almost 30 years. She worked at numerous daycare facilities including Lifespan daycare in Quakertown. Pauline was retired from Merck and continued to help care for children at Tabor Hill Nursery School in Woxall, PA.

She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Hill, PA and was a past president of the Upper Perk Ambulance Ladies Auxiliary. Pauline enjoyed gardening and NASCAR every Sunday- Dale Earnhardt, Sr. was her favorite driver. Pauline most enjoyed her vacation time in the Outer Banks, Missouri and Myrtle Beach.

Pauline was the rock and the pillar to so many in her life. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her children, Kathleen Griffin and Raymond Nester and wife, Sandra; five grandchildren, Damian, Kyle, Trisha, Cody and Corbin; 11 great-grandchildren, Valen, Vayla, Lilliana, Malika, Mason, Mikey, Rayne, Piper, Shelby, Benjamin and Oliver. She is also survived by five siblings, Floyd Cressman and wife, Rosie, Paul Cressman husband of the late Shirley, Janet Fulmer, Carol Hill, and Ernest Cressman and wife, Sheryl; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a daughter, Christine (Nester) Lear and brothers, Richard and Bruce Cressman.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041.
