Obituary for Richard D. Cressman

Richard D. Cressman, 69 years old, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA. He was the loving husband of the late Phyllis (Yeary) Cressman, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage before her passing in 2011.

Born in Sumneytown, PA, he was the son of Laura (Price) Wagner of Shickshinny, PA and the late James W.
Cressman.

Richard served his country as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He owned and operated
Richard Cressman Excavating in Quakertown, PA for many years before he went on to own and operate RCT of Hilltown, LLC; a trucking company that hauled military equipment. If he wasn’t driving his truck, he was working on his trucks, driving his tractors, working with his backhoe, and attending truck and car shows. Above all of this, his greatest pleasure, was spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Red Hill VFW Post 5954 and American Legion Perkiomen Post 184 in Palm, PA.

Surviving are three daughters, Debbie R. Meyers of Pennsburg, PA, Diana J. Houser of Sellersville, PA and Sharon J. Cressman of Quakertown, PA; six grandchildren, Tori, Jacob, Luke, Ashley, Dylan and Kayla; a great-granddaughter, Brynlee; and four siblings, Gloria Volker, widow of Dave Volker, Butch Cressman and wife, Mary Lou, James Cressman, widower of Rosemarie and Russell Cressman and wife, Arlene. He is predeceased by a sister, MaryAnn, wife of the late Harold Kleinsmith

A time to share memories will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May, 12 2022 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening May 11th at the funeral home and also 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning.
