Richard L. Szilli, 75, of Bechtelsville, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, June 26, 2022 surrounded by
his family. He was the husband of Joleen S. (Engleman) Szilli.
He was born in Bechtelsville, a son of the late Frank Jr. and Anna (Endy) Szilli. Richard attended
Boyertown High School and was employed in manufacturing locally for many years. His last
employment was as a saw operator at S&W Metal Products, Gilbertsville, PA.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed baseball, hockey and played
in the local softball leagues as well as watching his son and grandson’s baseball games.
In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children: Michelle L Gill and husband Richard;
Thomas A. Szilli and wife Janice; siblings: Robert Szilli and wife Irene; Frank Szilli III; David Szilli and wife
Christine; Linda Dotterer and husband Linwood; grandchildren: Lauren Gill, Kirby and Trent Szilli; and
many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sisters: Patricia Szilli and Barbara Smith
and step-brother, Walter Oswald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at
Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30 to
11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s
