Obituary for Robert A. "Bob" Ford

Robert A. “Bob” Ford, 58, of Red Hill, PA, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital Upper Bucks Campus. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late John R. “Jack” Ford and Mary Jane (Mendles) Ford. As one of four siblings, Bob graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Edison, NJ and then earned an Associates Degree in Computer Science from DeVry Institute in Woodbridge, NJ. He went on to work at Blommer Chocolate Company in East Greenville, PA for over 15 years as a Quality Control Technician.

Known among family and friends as the most generous, kind, thoughtful and “nicest person you’d ever meet”, Bob was in turn a wonderful son, brother and uncle. Bob was as generous in death as he was in life, acting as a tissue donor to help someone in need.

While he never married, he spoiled and adored his nieces and nephews and continued that tradition with his great nieces and nephews. As anyone can attest who was blessed to be around him, he was never without a smile, even when he was sick; he was the biggest optimist, life of the party and had a zest for life. Bob was also an avid sports fan.

Bob will be missed by his two sisters, Joan Kulesza and Eileen Barth and husband, Don; seven nieces and nephews, Jackie Ford, CJ Kulesza, Kayleen Kulesza, Erin Miller, Tim Kulesza, Donnie Barth and Keri Barth; five great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Cathy Ford; brother-in-law, Chuck Kulesza; and many beloved cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jack Ford.

A Mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 22, 2023 at St. Philip Neri R.C. Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 10:45 at the church prior to mass. The burial will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home and online condolences may be offered by visiting www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 1059 Sweisford Rd, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
