Obituary for Robert L. Rabe

Robert L. Rabe
Robert L. Rabe, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 18, 2018 at the age of 76, in his Zionsville, PA. home surrounded by his family.

Born in Allentown, formerly of Drexel Hill, he was a son of the late Louis W. and Edith C. (Behrle) Rabe.

He was a loving father and great friend to those who traveled in his circles. He was extremely hard working with great mechanical aptitude, spending his lifelong career working in residential construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a loving, offbeat, creative thinker who always helped a friend in need. We are forever grateful for his love and presence.

Robert is survived by his five children, Robert Rabe (Susan) of Murrysville, Kathleen Lyons (Tom) of Prospect Park, Kevin Rabe (Jeannette) of Thornton, Donna Chiappardi (Chris) of Zionsville and Sandra Fusco (Brandon) of Drexel Hill and their mother, Diane Matava Gardner; ten grandchildren: Kristina, Michelle, Edward, Morgan, Timothy, Benjamin, Alexander, Noah, Faith and Callie; 13 great-grandchildren; his brother, John Rabe of Zionsville; and his beloved companion of 30 years, Debbie Cotter of Media.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a son, William Gordon Rabe; a grandson, Matthew Scott Gallagher; and his sister, Edythe Louise Gozdiskowski.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street., East Greenville, PA 18041. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
