Obituary for Sandra Lee Godshall (Rittenhouse)

Sandra Lee (Rittenhouse) Godshall, 76, of Alburtis, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Ralph “Bill” W. Godshall, celebrating 60 years of marriage in September.

Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Abraham S. and Myrtle V. (Smith) Rittenhouse.

Sandra was a secretary for the Tire Recycling Department for Bergey’s in Perkasie for many years before retiring. Prior to that, she worked at Hanson Textile in Hatfield for many years. In retirement, being an avid reader, she volunteered at the Topton Lutheran Home Library for several years. However, above all of this, her greatest passion was raising and taking care of her family and spending time at her shore home in Fenwick Island with her husband and family.

Surviving along with her husband are her five children, William J. Godshall and wife Joanne, of East Hartland, CT, Sharon A., wife of Douglas Myers of Oakmont, PA, David W. Godshall r Green Lane, PA with Mikki, Robert T. Godshall and wife, Deborah of Alburtis, PA and Ralph C. Godshall and fiance, Nicole of Allentown, PA; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, husband of Ashton, Emily, wife of Ray, Steven, Jacob, Wayne, Seth, husband of Lisa, Corey, husband of Samantha, Morgan and Madison; five great-grandchildren, Chase, Carson, Cloey, Damon and Rowan; a brother, Abraham L. Rittenhouse and wife, Kathy of Litiz, PA; and a sister, Virginia A., wife of James Holnick of Perkasie.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a granddaughter, Brianna Leigh.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041.
