Obituary for Scott Robert Ferguson

Scott Robert Ferguson, 39, of Pennsburg, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital-Upper Bucks after complications with the flu.

Born in Lansdale, he was the beloved son of Robert and Kathy (Mull) Ferguson of Green Lane and brother of Shawn Ferguson and his wife, Deborah.

Scott grew up in Green Lane spending time biking in the park, participating in Boy Scouts and Valley Soccer. He became an Eagle Scout, graduated from Upper Perkiomen High School and the Western Montgomery Career and Technical Center in 2002. Scott attended Northampton Community College then Mercedes Benz Elite to further his education in Automotive Studies. Scott was employed with Mercedes Benz of Devon as a Pennsylvania Youth Apprentice starting as a junior in high school. Several years later, Scott made a move to larger engines and began working at Komatsu Hatfield starting in the shop, then as a field technician, foreman and eventually a shop service supervisor. Later in life he was deeply involved in restoring his Jeep CJ-7, mountain biking and camping as much as possible. Scott was nothing short of driven and when he decided something needed to happen, he did everything possible to ensure that it came to fruition.

Scott met the love of his life, Becky, in 2000 at just 15 years old. Nothing has stopped or separated them since. Scott purchased a home in Pennsburg with Becky in 2008 and finally married her in 2010. They gave birth to their first and only son Michael in 2016. Scott shared 23 years of devoted love with Becky including 7 years of joyfully raising their son together.

Scott is also survived by maternal grandmother, Kathryn Mull; paternal grandmother, Ina Ferguson; parents-in-law, Kenneth and Donna Brewer; many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. You may offer condolences and share memories by visiting www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com
