Obituary for Stanley S. Hoffman

Stanley Hoffman, 93, of Boyertown, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Pottstown Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Betty L. (Bernhard) Hoffman, sharing 59 years of marriage before her passing in 2012. Born in Congo, PA, he was the son of the late Ammon and Addie (Stengel) Hoffman.

Stanley was a Machine Operator at Bally Block Company for 40 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Niantic, a life member of both Liberty Fire Co. in New Berlinville and Bally Fire Co. and a member of Bechtelsville Fire Co. and the Bally Sportsman’s Association.

Surviving are six children, Debra L., widow of Thomas Pienta of Sanatoga, Craig S. Hoffman and wife, Paula of Boyertown, Philip K. Hoffman and wife, Denise of Boyertown, Glenn D. Hoffman and wife, Tammy of Gilbertsville, Matthew D. Hoffman and wife, Dawn of Douglassville and Joanne E. Hoffman and wife, Jennifer Fox of Maple Shade, NJ; a sister, Mabel Schultz; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Verna; brothers, Walter and Homer; step-sister, Edna; and step-brothers, Russell, Ernest, Chester and Ralph.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Rd., Barto, PA 19504. Burial follows in Christ Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9 to 10:45 AM in the church parlor. Arrangements entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
