Obituary for Teresa Irene Louquet (Duklis)
Teresa Irene Duklis Louquet (Giedgowd) passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at home surrounded by family in Pennsburg. She was 68 years old. Born in Quakertown, she was the loving daughter of Margaret I. (Shewell) Duklis and the late Peter S. Duklis, Sr. She will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Jennifer Woodring-Shea and Emily Louquet; her two grandchildren, Norah and Lincoln; and brother Peter S. Duklis,Jr. She was the wife of the late Allen Louquet.
She was a 1971 graduate of St. Pius X Pottstown and then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Studies from Purdue University. Teresa spent her career as a fine craftsperson, historian and teacher, most recently at the Upper Bucks County Technical School.
Aside from her love for teaching, she enjoyed horseback riding, reading, traveling, and listening to folk music.
She also was a historical reenactor and collector and curator of antiques. She was a lover of nature and an environmental activist. She most loved raising her border collies: Meg, Seamus, Maddy, Marley.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a visitation at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 10-11 am with services following at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
