Obituary for Thomas L. "Tom" Burns
Thomas L. “Tom” Burns, 90, of Gilbertsville, formerly of Ocean View, DE, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was the loving husband of Marsha D. (Yerger) Burns.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Volpe) Burns.
Tom served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and in the Coast Guard Auxiliary while he lived in Delaware. He was also the National Vice Commander of the American Legion for twelve northeastern states.
He was an equipment operator at Drum Construction in Perkasie and also was in Insurance Sales with Nationwide.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three children, Cathleen Miller and husband, Gary, Thomas Burns and wife, Alicia, and Robert Burns; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Burns. He is predeceased by a son, Joseph Burns.
Services will be private.
