Obituary for Valentine V. Hoot (Slifer)
Valentine V. Hoot, 73, of Hereford, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Pennsburg Manor. She was the loving wife of the late James V. Hoot, Sr.
Born in Sellersville, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Valentine (Strong) Slifer, Sr.
Valentine was a graduate of Quakertown High School. She was a bank teller at National Penn Bank in Red Hill for many years and also worked in the insurance industry.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and gardening.
Surviving are two children, James V. Hoot, Jr. and wife, Kimberly of Lake Ariel and Amanda Hoot of Hereford; three grandchildren, Kacidy McFarland, Elijah Hoot and Zachary Buseck. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a son, Zachary Hoot and brothers, Russell Slifer, Jr. and James Slifer.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
