Obituary for Warren H. Russell
Warren H. Russell, 85, of Limerick, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of June (Emes) Russell.
He was born in Philadelphia to the late Andrew W. and Jennie (Cooper) Russell. Warren graduated from John Bartram High School in Philadelphia in 1956. He served in the Army Reserves. For forty years he worked as a maintenance mechanic for Lockheed Martin in Downingtown. In retirement, he worked as a custodian at Boyertown Area School District.
Warren was the scout leader for forty years for Green Lane Troop 338. He was also a member of Gilbertsville Fire Company, AM Vets of Milford, DE, Boyertown Rod and Gun Club and the American Legion, Royersford, PA.
He had a passion for collecting wolf items and Army items as well as being a dog lover, especially German Shepards. In any way that he could, he always supported the Military.
Surviving are his children: Warren E. “Bud” Russell and wife Jackie, of Largo, FL; Gary L. Russell and wife Sheri, of Boyertown; James A. “Jimmy” Russell and companion Paula Baccaro, of Pennsburg; Kim A. Mehlman and husband Rod, of Reading; sister: Jennie Dull, of Lewes, DE; grandchildren: David Russell, Nicole Rose, Rebecca Zeleznick, Lindsay Russell, Ashley Turrell, Derek Turrell and nine great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA. Friends may call from 1:30-2:30 PM. Burial will be in New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a local American Legion, VFW, VA, or other military organization in my father’s honor.
