Andrew J. Zonin Jr., a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on July 4, 1969, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Andrew brought light, laughter, and kindness into the world from the very beginning.
Andrew was the cherished son of Andrew and Judith Ann (Hufford) Zonin Sr., and the devoted husband of Barbara (Barone) Zonin, with whom he shared many wonderful years of love, partnership, and unwavering devotion. Their life together was filled with shared adventures, deep affection, and countless memories that will be treasured forever.
A 1987 graduate of Christopher Dock Mennonite Academy, Andrew went on to earn an associate's degree in business from the former Allentown School of Business. He built a successful career in the insurance industry and was most recently employed as a commercial insurance account manager with KMRD Partners. Andrew was highly respected by colleagues not only for his professionalism and dedication, but also for his warmth, humor, and genuine care for others.
Music was one of Andrew's greatest passions. A talented guitarist, he played in various bands throughout his life, finding joy and connection through every chord and melody. Music was more than a pastime-it was part of who he was. He was also a loyal sports fan, passionately cheering on the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of his greatest simple pleasures was driving his Jeep with the top down, music turned up, and his beloved dog riding shotgun-moments that perfectly captured his free spirit and love of life.
Andrew had an open heart and an easy smile. He formed deep and lasting friendships, making everyone feel welcome and valued. His infectious laugh, generous soul, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
In addition to his wife and parents, Andrew is survived by his sister, Michele (Patrick) Steele his nieces, Kyleigh and Kelsey Gradwell; his nephew, Tommy Gradwell; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Andrew's life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Andrew's memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org or Justice Rescue at www.justice-rescue.com.
