Barbara Ann Parsons, of Pennsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Whitehall, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Elizabeth (Morgan) James. Barbara was the devoted wife of the late Carlisle D. Parsons, with whom she shared a beautiful 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Catasauqua High School and went on to attend Allentown Business School, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career. She served as a dedicated secretary, first at Knoll, Inc., and later at Grand View Hospital.

A vibrant spirit, Barbara embraced life with enthusiasm. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and found joy in traveling with her close-knit circle of friends. Her love for country line dancing was infectious, and she often lit up the dance floor. She also enjoyed collecting bears and had a vast collection.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Barbara cherished moments spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Parsons; grandchildren, Morgan Treffinger, Rylan Treffinger, and Averian Biton; and her Phyllis Bittenbender, her cherished best friend of more than 50 years. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Lynne Parsons and her brother, Nelson James.
