Betty P. Schuler, of Red Hill, passed away on April 22, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in Chapel, PA, Betty was the daughter of the late Cernall and Verna (Derr) Frey. She shared a loving marriage of 43 years with her husband, Lester G. Schuler, who predeceased her in 2003.
After graduating from East Greenville High School, Betty began her career at Pennsburg Clothing Factory before dedicating 26 years of her life to the United States Postal Service as Postmaster in Sumneytown.
A member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, Betty was an active participant in community life, finding joy at the Boyertown Senior Citizens Center and previously at the East Greenville Senior Center. Her passions included crocheting, solving puzzles, and attending the music in the park events every Saturday during the season.
Above all, Betty's greatest joy came from her family. She took immense pride in her role as a loving mammy and gigi to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be loving remembered by her daughter: Wanda Rittenhouse (Tim); grandchildren: Tim Rittenhouse Jr. (Tara), Brandon Rittenhouse (Stephanie), Jennifer Smith (Liam), Courtney Badidas (John) and Scott Schuler (Xin); and her great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Tabitha and Heidi Rittenhouse, Colton, Grayson and Landon Rittenhouse, Cian and Rory Smith, and Josiah Badidas. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her son, Dean Schuler; sister, Virginia Eppler; and her companion, Lawrence Diehl.
A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:45 AM on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 81 Main St, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
