Clair Fox

May 9, 1933 — March 22, 2024

Clair W. Fox, of Hereford, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA at age 90. He was the widower of Emma J. (Diel) Fox, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage.

He was born in Pennsburg to the late Leroy and Rose (Kemmerer) Fox. Clair graduated from East Greenville High School in 1952 and served in the Army during the Korean War. For 42 years, he served as the caretaker of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ until retiring in 1998.

He was a longtime member of New Goshenhoppen U.C.C., the American Legion Post 184, and Grundsow Lodge #7. He was a life member of Upper Perkiomen Valley Sportsmen’s Assoc., serving as President from 1998-2018. He also enjoyed spending time at the family Foxes Den Hunting Club in Sullivan County.

He is survived by his son, William Fox and wife Grace, of Perkiomenville and sister-in-law, Shirley Fox, of Frederick. He was preceded in death by daughter Patsy, and infant son and brothers: Linwood, Theodore and Carl.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Perkiomen Valley Sportsmen’s Assoc., 398 E.
