Colleen Arner

Colleen Jean Arner, passed away peacefully from natural causes on May 23, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest at the age of 67. She was the wife of the late David Arner.

She was born in Catasaqua to the late Robert and Elizabeth (McCandless) MacKewen. After graduating Catasaqua High School, Colleen earned her Associate's Degree and went on to work as a proofreader in the publishing industry, where her keen eye for detail and passion for the written word made her a respected colleague and friend. Alongside her career, Colleen cherished the memories of her earlier years co-owning and helping operate her brother's race car, which brought her much joy and adventure. She and her late husband were members of Huff's Union Church.

She leaves behind her three children: Suzanne, partner of Adam Kahler, and Robert and Kyle Arner, who were the pride and joy of her life. She also recently became a grandmother to Joseph Ryan Kahler. Colleen is also survived by siblings: her sister, Beth Oberly and husband Robert, and her brothers, Timothy and Robert MacKewen, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Huff's Union Church, 540 Conrad Rd., Alburtis, PA 18011 on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10-11:30 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
