Dean D. Steinman, 50, husband of Beth Ann (Blank) Steinman, of Hosensack Road, Palm, died June 22, 2011 at his home after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. He and his wife celebrated 26 years of marriage on October 13, 2010.
Born in Quakertown, PA, he was a son of Harold “Butch” and Diane (Haas) Steinman of Pennsburg.
He was a production worker at Knoll Inc. in East Greenville for the past 30 years.
Dean was a friend to everyone and always had a smile and great sense of humor. He loved being a father and husband and enjoyed attending his daughter’s sporting events.
He was a member of Frieden’s United Church of Christ and was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed golfing, swimming and bowling. He was a member of the East Greenville Fire Company and bowled on their Thursday night bowling league and a member of the American Legion Post #184 where he bowled in the Monday night bowling league.
Surviving along with his wife and parents are two daughters, Rachel D. Steinman and Sarah A. Steinman, both at home; three brothers, Kevin L. Steinman and wife, Bonnie of Boyertown, Todd W. Steinman and wife, Tanya of Spring Mount and Ray H. Steinman of Pennsburg; a sister, Stacie D. Miller and husband, Steve of Bechtelsville and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Laura Beth Steinman.
A memorial service will be held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Frieden’s UCC, 1011 Church Road, Sumneytown with Rev. Cheryl A. Stoneback officiating. Family and friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of your choice.
