Eileen L. McDonough, 77, of Leesport, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Reading Hospital-Tower Health after complications related to a fall.
Born in Reading on December 29, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Arlene B. (Weidner) McDonough. Eileen was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1966, and later earned her degree in design from Harcum University.
After raising her children, Eileen put her creative talents to work in kitchen design at Lowe's, where she enjoyed helping others bring beauty and function into their homes.
Eileen had a deep love for arts and crafts, especially quilting. She was a member of a Quilters Guild and found great joy in creating handmade pieces for those she loved. She also enjoyed reading and spending time at the public library. A talented baker, Eileen was especially known for her cookies and pies, which were a cherished addition to family gatherings.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jason Troxell; her sisters, Sharon McDonough, Mary Jane Witman, and Martha Morrissey; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her son, Mark Fetter, and her siblings, Kevin McDonough and Nancy Hoffman.
A Celebration of Eileen's Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 1262 Fairview Dr., Leesport PA 19533.
