Gordon R. Kulp, Sr.

Gordon R. Kulp Sr., passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Pennsburg, to the late Raymond and Miriam (Levy) Kulp, Gordon lived a life that was rich in love and dedication to his family and community.Gordon was a beloved husband to his late wife, Shirley (DiBiaso) Kulp, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage until her passing in 2013. He was a devoted father to his five children: Karen Gehringer (Bob), Debbie Karom, Janet Swiecicki (Stan), Cindy Katzmann (Mark) and Gordon R. Kulp, Jr. (Stacy). He is also survived by his ten grandchildren Marci (Mike), Bobby (Karen), Scott, Chip (Danielle), Kristopher (Faith), Kristin (Jordan), Julia (Chad), Lindsey (Alex), Alyssa (Colby) and Matt (Ally) and 15 great-grandchildren, Trent, Tahner, Mikey, Max, Olivia, Nick, Owen, baby girl on the way Lennon, Bennett, Jackson, Riley, Logan, Hunter, Indy and Scarlett; each of whom brought him immeasurable joy. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in being their "Pop-Pop Tweedle." In addition to his wife, he is predeceased by his brother, Terrance Kulp, Sr. and his four beloved Sheltie dogs.Gordon dedicated many years of his life to his work, starting in various factories in the Upper Perkiomen Valley before joining Boise Cascade as a fork truck driver and eventually retiring from ESI Glass. He also showcased his craftsmanship as a self-employed contractor specializing in carpentry.Beyond his professional life, Gordon was an avid bowler with the American Legion in Palm and found great joy in spending time outdoors, particularly in the beautiful landscapes of Lycoming County at the cabin where he went hunting, fishing and spent time with his "mountain friends". He also loved hunting and cherished trips to Canada, where memories were made with family and friends. A loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Phillies, and Penn State, he was often seen cheering for his favorite teams and enjoying breakfast at the Pennsburg Diner or Wetlands with his friends and cousins.A visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
