Jacob Lawrence Buck

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jacob Lawrence Buck, a beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on September 19, 2026, at the age of 17.

Jacob was born in Sellersville, PA, and was the cherished son of Christopher and Wendy (Deemer) Buck. He is also survived his brother Joel Buck and fiancée Sarah; his sister Kourtne Spritzler and husband, Ryan; maternal grandparents, Larry Deemer and Cathy Curley; and aunts, uncles and cousins- all of whom will forever cherish the memories they created with him. He is also deeply missed by his two dogs, Bailey and Toby.  He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Ethel Buck.

Jacob was a bright spirit who had just started his junior year at Upper Perkiomen High School where he was involved in the gaming club. He cultivated deep friendships that enriched his life, and his absence will be profoundly felt by his classmates and teachers. An avid video gamer, known as @spider-slush to his online community, and an aspiring sketch artist, Jacob dreamt of a future in game design, where he could merge his creativity with his love for gaming.

Jacob was cherished for his quick wit and snarky one-liners that brought laughter to those around him. He was more than just a friend you could rely on; he was a kind and gentle soul with a heart that was always ready to help others. Known for his warm and lingering hugs, Jacob had a unique ability to make everyone feel loved, healed and valued.

An evening viewing will be held on Monday, September 28, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA 18041 and again the next morning on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 10:30 - 11:45 AM with a funeral service to follow at 12 PM. Please feel free to dress casually, as Jacob would have wanted everyone to come as they are and feel comfortable.
