Jane D. Trumbore, formerly of Perkiomenville, resident of Frederick Living, passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Northampton, PA, Jane was the daughter of the late Walter and Sara (Baringer) Diehl and grew up in Nazareth, where she graduated from Nazareth High School in 1953.

Jane's interest in education led her to earn a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from West Chester State Teachers College in 1957, followed by a master's degree in Education from Lehigh University. For over 35 years, she dedicated her life to teaching in the Souderton Area School District. Initially she taught in lower elementary grades, but after earning her master's degree, she returned to teaching as a Reading Specialist. She was passionate about helping children become confident readers so they could succeed at school and in life.

In 1957, Jane married William E. Trumbore, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years until his passing in 2018. Together, they built a beautiful life, first living in Green Lane, PA, for 23 years and later creating their dream home nestled in the woods of Perkiomenville, where they made cherished memories until 2014.

Jane was a devoted member of Peace in Zion U.C.C., where her spirit shone brightly. She actively participated in many committees, including the Consistory, where she served as president for a number of years.  Jane also took immense joy in singing with the choir each Sunday.

Beyond her professional life, Jane's passions included singing, playing the piano, and immersing herself in the beauty of musical and theatrical performances. She found joy in cooking, knitting, and spending time outdoors. Her adventurous spirit was evident in her love for traveling with family and friends, camping trips, and annual visits to Ocean City, NJ. Jane cherished hosting picnic reunions, where laughter and love filled the air, and she always delighted in watching sunsets and moonrises over the lakes and oceans.

Jane is survived by her two children: Ben Trumbore of Ithaca, NY and Sally Semper and husband, James of Millington, NJ; and her beloved grandchildren: Gray and Brian Trumbore; and Corinne and Chelsea Semper. She is also predeceased by her two brothers James and John Diehl.

Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Peace in Zion U.C.C., PO Box 247, Zieglerville, PA 19492.
