Jean W. Wentzel

Jean W. Wentzel, 93, a resident of Frederick Living, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, at St. Luke's Upper Bucks Campus. She was the widow of the late Elmer M. Wentzel, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late William and Cary Harner.

In her earlier years, she was an adventurous soul and did a variety of activities including horseback riding and flying airplanes. Later she went to work as a seamstress at the former Swann Costume Shop and as a tailor at Ron Moyer's Men's Shop before working at Harleysville Insurance Company and retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sassamansville and enjoyed square dancing, playing the guitar, playing games and having card parties with her friends. But her greatest joy was being a Grammy. Her life was centered around her family, and she cherished every moment she had with her son, daughter-in-law, granddaughters, and great granddaughters.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Jeffery and Beth Wentzel; granddaughter Hannah Wentzel, granddaughter and her husband Haley and Patrick Donnelly and their daughters Rowan and Parker.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, from 9:30-11 AM at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville. PA, with a service to follow at 11 AM. A burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, in Sassamansville.
