John Christopher Toth

John C. Toth, of Royersford, passed away at his home on July 4, 2026. He was 67.

John was born in Greensboro, NC, one of two sons born to the late Stephen J. and Virginia (Sparrow) Toth. John was a graduate of Ben L. Smith High School, Greensboro, NC. He then earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Guilford College. Later, John made the decision to switch careers and earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Geology at his beloved North Carolina State University.

John had a successful career at Merck, Inc., where he was last working as an analytical chemist at the time of his passing.

His favorite hobby was playing volleyball, puzzles and reading and growing his mind. He was a devoted dance dad and cat dad. He loved travel, food and trying a new IPA.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sammy and brother, Stephen J. "Joey" Toth Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth "Libbie". His nephew Chris Newton. His most trusted confidant and former spouse, Mary Wynne.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Service to honor John's life at Bethel Community Church, 575 N. Keim St., Pottstown, PA 19464 on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the VFoundation for Cancer Research or Pennsylvania SPCA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home of East Greenville.
