Larry A. Frankenfield, Sr. of Palm, passed away peacefully surrounded with love on July 27, 2026, at the age of 78. Larry was a beloved son of the late Robert Frankenfield and Katherine (Kurtz) Shipe. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Stitt) Frankenfield who passed in 2016.
A 1966 graduate of Souderton High School, he briefly served as a police officer and constable for Upper Perk Police, embodying a commitment to his community that would last throughout his life. Larry spent many years working at WR Grace, which later became Fibermark Products, where he ultimately retired as a Supervisor and Plant Manager.
Larry was a devoted member of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club, where he served as both District and State Governor. His passion for community service extended to his roles as a former board member on the Open Link and as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. He found joy in giving back and was a familiar face in the community, always willing to lend a hand.
An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, Larry's spirited enthusiasm for the team was matched only by his love for Corvettes and jeep racing. His zest for life, paired with his generosity of heart, left a profound impact on all who knew him.
He is survived by seven children, Wendy A., wife of Joseph Sheetz, Brenda L., wife of Jed Mayk, Larry A. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Open Link, 452 Penn Street, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
