Laura (Hepler) Johnson, 59, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, March 14 unexpectedly due to a sudden and rare illness.
Born on January 3, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Rhett Hepler and Frances L. Herwig. Laura is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 20 years, James R. Johnson III. Laura was born and raised in Upper Salford Twp. She worked in retail most of her life. Her hobbies were reading, flea markets, auctions and yard sales where she was always looking for old and newer vinyl albums and anything on the presidents. She had a room in her home dedicated to presidential history. She also loved cats and dogs and had several through the years.
Besides her husband and mother, she will be remembered by her three children: twins, Sharon Piner and her fiance Ryan Wolf, Shawn Piner and his wife Berline, Joshua Piner, and his wife Amanda and step-daughter, Sabrina Albright and her husband Chris; three grandchildren: Daniel Bull, Athena Piner, and Braddox Piner; her furbabies: Lyndon Bean and Emmitt; three sisters: Cathy and her husband Shawn, Mary, and Sandy; two brothers: Donald and Jonathan; Godson and nephew Erich Hepler and many more nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her father, grandparents, step-father Wilbur F. Herwig Sr., niece Amanda Hovermale and four furbabies: Desi, Little Ricky, Lucy and Gable. Laura had a deep faith in God and the hereafter and she knew she would meet her loved ones again and now she has. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered and honored by her Husband, Mother, Children, Siblings, and Family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville, PA from 10-12 PM with services to follow at 12 PM. She will be laid to rest in Old Goshenhoppen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Last Chance Ranch, 10 Beck Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 (www.lastchanceranch.org or a donation to help defray funeral expenses payable to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
