LaVerne A. (Borden) Matlak, 69, of Pennsburg and formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Sophie (Mecholasky) Borden.
She worked as a Lab Technician and Manager for Kensington Hospital in Philadelphia.
Laverne loved QVC, baking, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Surviving is one son, Gregg Matlak and his wife, Cheryl of Pennsburg; one brother, Michael Borden of Florida; three grandchildren, Timothy Matlak and his wife, Liz; Tyler and Kylie Matlak and one great-granddaughter, Ava.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
