Lester W. Hein

Lester W. Hein, 87, passed away peacefully at his home on May 21, 2025. Born in Emmaus, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Elda (Wink) Hein.

Lester cherished his family above all, and was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Harriet (Huber) Hein, with whom he shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, Kenny Hein and wife, Terri, Donna Balascak and husband, Mark and Will Hein and wife, Debbie; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sterling Hein and Nancy Snyder. He was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie Staver and 7 siblings.

Lester worked for many years as a plumber at Hatfield Meat Packing, where he contributed his skills and dedication to his craft before retiring. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his memberships at the Rural Sportsman Association and the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Lester enjoyed woodworking and tinkering around the house, often creating projects that brought joy to his family.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the East Greenville Fire Co., 401 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041.
