Marsha D. Burns

Marsha D. Burns, 86, of Gilbertsville, PA, formerly of Ocean View, DE, passed away on September 23, 2026. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas L. "Tom" Burns, who predeceased her in 2022. Marsha was born in Pottstown, PA, to Paul and Esther (Kerr) Yerger.

A graduate of Pottstown High School, Marsha dedicated many years of her life to her career as an inspector at Doehler-Jarvis in Stowe. A woman of great compassion, Marsha was particularly known for her charitable spirit, especially towards veterans. She devoted countless hours to the "Home of the Brave," where she worked to support homeless veterans. Her commitment to serving those who had served the country was further exemplified by her role as a past president of the Dagsboro American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her commitment to her work and time volunteering, was only surpassed by her commitment to her family.

Marsha was a loving mother, cherished by her children: Cathleen Miller and husband, Gary, Thomas Burns and wife, Alicia, and Robert Burns and wife, Denise; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Paul Yerger. She is also predeceased by her sister, Gloria Kirlin.

Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home.
