Patricia L. Mest

Patricia L. Mest, formerly of Gilbertsville, passed away quietly and peacefully on October 1, 2025, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, where she had been residing. Pat enriched the lives of all who knew her and leaves behind a profound legacy of love and compassion.

Pat was a 1953 graduate of Boyertown Area High School and furthered her education by earning an associate's degree in Human Services from Montgomery County Community College, serving as a teaching assistant for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit for many years. Her commitment to nurturing young minds was a testament to her caring spirit and passion for helping others.

In 1953 Pat married the love of her life, William C. Mest. Together they built a life over 72 years of marriage. Pat's devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is survived by her beloved children: Judith Mock (Stephen), Kay Tran (Arnold), and William L. Mest (Lesley); five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

As a faithful member of Shepherd of the Hills Church, Pat was actively engaged in volunteer work and served on various church boards. Gardening and sewing were among her cherished hobbies, allowing her to express her creativity.
