Patricia J. Penrose, of Green Lane, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 83. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Christina (Thiery) Gordon.
Patricia was a devoted wife to Peter M. Penrose for 51 wonderful years until his passing in 2017. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and laughter. A 1959 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, Patricia dedicated her life primarily to her family. Although she spent some time as an LPN at St. Mary's Franciscan Hospital and two years at Harleysville Insurance, her heart was always at home, where she lovingly cared for her children and created a warm and nurturing environment.
Patricia cherished her time with family and found joy in every moment spent with her daughters, Patricia Bernheisel (James) and Michelle Lynch; and her son, Gary Penrose (Gina). She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Chelsea Marquez (Andres), Sean Bernheisel, Collin Lynch, and Kyle Penrose. Patricia also shared a special bond with her sister, Christine Brown. She is predeceased by brothers Leslie and Ellis Gordon.
As a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Patricia was active in the Rosary Group and generously contributed her talents by making baby blankets and prayer shawls, showcasing her love for crafting, quilting, and crocheting. Her creative spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of so many in her community.
A memorial mass celebrating Patricia's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Visitation will take place from 10:00 -10:45 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
