Paul L. Cressman, of Pennsburg, PA, passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 89 years. He was the son of the late Septimus and Edna Cressman.
A 1957 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, Paul later served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. After his service, he devoted 42 years of his professional life to Knoll, where he became a skilled upholsterer. His compassionate spirit extended beyond the workplace as he served as an EMT with the Upper Perk Ambulance for a decade, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and also served on the planning commission for Marlborough Township for many years.
Paul was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, VFW Post 595 and the American Legion Perkiomen Post 184.
Known for his simplicity and warm-hearted nature, Paul found profound happiness in life's small pleasures. He particularly loved fishing and hunting, activities that offered him solace and cherished memories. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought joy to his life.
Paul is survived by his two children: Jane Thummel and Michael Cressman and wife, Cheryl; his companion: Annie Lepley of 26 years; grandchildren: Justin, Jessica (Austen), Matthew, Nicholas, Ryan and Jill; and his siblings: Floyd Cressman (Rosie), Janet Fulmer, Ernest Cressman (Sheryl) and Carol Hill. He is predeceased by his wife, Shirley M. (Gilly) Cressman; two grandchildren: Christopher and Rachel; and siblings: Richard Cressman and Pauline Nester.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9:30 - 10:45 AM at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 81 Main St, Pennsburg, PA 18073 with a funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
