Paul Leister

Paul L. Leister Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, at the age of 72. He was the husband of Judy (Hausman) Leister, with whom he shared almost 52 years of marriage.

Paul was born in Pottstown to the late Paul L. Sr and Bertha (Haring) Leister.  Paul dedicated over four decades of his life to his role as a Pump Manager at C.S. Garber and Sons Inc., where his expertise and commitment earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike. Although his work was significant to him, it was his family that remained the centerpiece of his life.

He was an active member of St. Paul's U.C.C. Amityville. There he could be found helping at the church turkey suppers and peach festivals. An avid outdoorsman, Paul found joy in hunting and fishing, relishing the times he spent taking his grandchildren on fishing trips. He cherished cooking, grilling, and organizing clam bakes that brought family and friends together around the table, creating bonds that will last even beyond his years.

In addition to his wife Judy, he leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters: Kelly Heimbach and her husband Josh, and Becky Kohr; his cherished grandchildren: Katie Heimbach, fiance of Isaac Cory, Luke Heimbach, Kara Schoenly, and Jace Heimbach; his sisters, Barbara Troxel widow of Robert, and  Nancy Leister; his brothers, Randall and Brian Leister; sister-in-law, Patricia Leister and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Gary.

The family will hold a visitation at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1979 Weavertown Rd., Douglassville, PA 19518 on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 9:30-11 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Church at the above address.
