Raymond J. Stahl

Raymond J. Stahl, 92, of East Greenville, PA, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Born in Niantic, PA, Ray was the son of the late Frank and Catherine (Bauer) Soffa. He was the husband of Irene C. (Ludy) Stahl for 35 years.

Growing up, Ray spent his early years working on the family farm on Soffa Road, where he developed a strong work ethic that would carry him throughout his life. He dedicated over 30 years as a production operator at Ametek US Gauge in Sellersville before retiring. Ray was known for his friendly demeanor and willingness to help anyone in need, embodying the spirit of kindness.

Ray's love for the outdoors was evident in his fondness for his property in "The Woods", where he treasured time spent with family and friends. Whether hosting picnics or family reunions these moments brought immense joy to his life and to those who knew him. He was also an avid sports fan, passionately supporting teams such as Penn State, the Philadelphia Eagles, Villanova, and Upper Perk sports.

Ray is survived by children, Elizabeth Karver (Barry), Brian Stahl (Carrie) and Rosalie Gallagher (Tim); Step-Children, Greg Moyer and Sharon Fry (Ernie); 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Mae Schultz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Octavia (Bortz) Stahl with whom he shared 22 years of marriage; step-daughter, Cindy Dague; and siblings, Frances, Robert, Stanley, Leonard and Elizabeth Soffa.

In accordance with his wishes and as a tribute of Ray's lifelong dedication to helping others, his body was donated to science in the hope of advancing medical knowledge. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, East Greenville.
