Robert K. Alderfer Jr., lovingly known as Skip, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Lansdale, PA, he was the son of the late Robert K. Alderfer Sr. and Jean (Perry) Alderfer.

After graduating from Collegeville Trappe High School, Skip earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and became a registered pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania. He worked at Montgomery Hospital servicing Graterford prison, worked at the prison pharmacy, and for many years at Buckleys Pharmacy.

Skip took great pride in being a family man and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was the devoted husband of Nona J. (Kromer) Alderfer. The two would have celebrated 36 beautiful years of marriage this August. He was a loving father to Joel Alderfer (Justine); step-father to Jef Reyburn (Karen) and Tim Reyburn; grandfather to Autumn (Fiancé, Jake), Zach (Vanessa), Max, Colby, Tucker, Lucas, Darby, Olivia, Teddy and Owen; great-grandfather to Brooks, Lennon, Parker, McKenzie and Riley; brother to Robbie Altenor, Mark Alderfer, Debbie Johnson and David Alderfer; and former father-in-law to Leslie Reyburn-Shisler. He is predeceased by his step-son Kenneth Reyburn. His warmth and kindness extended beyond his immediate family, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his love for family, Skip was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan and enjoyed reading and engaging in spirited games of Scrabble. A man of many talents, he was also skilled in carpentry and building, often finding solace and satisfaction in creating with his hands. His faith played an essential role in his life, and he was a cherished member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church.

In honor of Skip's life, a visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, 833 Gravel Pike, Palm, PA 18070 from 1:30 - 2:45 PM with a memorial service to follow at 3 PM.
