Thelma L. Borchelt

Thelma L. Borchelt, 94, formerly of Bally, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2026, at Frederick Living, where she had been residing. Born in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Catherine (Coggeshall) Thackery. Thelma was the devoted wife of John E. Borchelt for 64 beautiful years before he passed away in 2014.

A graduate of New Point High School in Indiana, Thelma devoted her life to her family and home, nurturing an environment of love and support. Her warmth and kindness extended beyond her family; she was a member of Calvary United Church of Christ in Barto and dedicated 20 years of her life volunteering at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Thelma had a vast array of interests-she took great pleasure in playing cards, traveling, crocheting, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. However, the joy that brought her the greatest happiness was her family, whom she loved deeply.

Thelma is survived by her three sons, Michael Borchelt and wife Dorothy, Don Borchelt and wife April, and Steve Borchelt and wife Cindy; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Trevor, Trishia, Tracie, and Kori; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a granddaughter, Valerie Christine; her sister, Lois McCormick; and her brothers, John and Robert Thackery.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
