Obituary for Mary T. Finkbeiner (Zappas)
Mary T. (Zappas) Finkbeiner, 88, wife of the Ben F. Finkbeiner, of Pennsburg and formerly of Red Hill, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of John and Anna (Walsh) Zappas.
She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Pennsburg.
Surviving are her children, Mary Lou, wife of David Proffit of Pennsburg; Tricia, wife of Bob Strassler of Doylestown; Michael Finkbeiner of Horsham and Joy, wife of John Ginanni of Pennsburg; five grandchildren, Brian and Allison Proffit; Robert and Wendy Strassler; and Alex Moll and three great grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha and Riley. She was predeceased by siblings, Catherine Friel, Eileen Hartman, George and John Zappas.
A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA with Rev. Robert A. Roncase officiating. There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
