Obituary for Clara I. Schaffer (Breisch)
Clara I. (Breisch) Schaffer, 88, wife of the late Calvin L. Schaffer, of Pennsburg and formerly of Gilbertsville, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Pennsburg Manor.
Born in Steinsburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles D. and Lizzie M. (Nace) Breisch.
She worked as an outside auditor for 32 years at Harleysville Ins. Co retiring in 1982.
Clara was a member of New Hanover Lutheran Church of Gilbertsville and a former member of the World Clown Association, where her name was Numbers.
Surviving are her brothers, James R. Breisch and wife, Dorothy of Quakertown and Charles D. Breisch and wife, Bonnie of Green Lane and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Thomas Lang officiating. There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Frieden’s Union Cemetery of Sumneytown.
