Obituary for Victor L. DiBlasio

Victor L.  DiBlasio
Victor L. DiBlasio, 84, husband of Mary (Pallante) DiBlasio, of Gouldsboro, PA, formerly of Hereford, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. He and his wife celebrated 57 years of marriage on September 21, 2014.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ida (Tranquillo) DiBlasio.

Victor was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was a mechanic and welder for several area companies.

Victor was a member of the VFW and a former member of the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company.

Surviving along with his wife are five children, Maryanne Homan and husband, Martin of Laceyville, PA, Joseph V. DiBlasio and wife, Kathy of East Greenville, PA, Diane Getz and husband, Mark of Topton, PA, Tina Marie Schantz and husband, Jerry of Emmaus, PA, and Vickie Dotter and husband, Larry of Newfoundland, PA; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Victor was predeceased by a brother, Raymond DiBlasio and a sister, Rose Greco.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014, at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with the Rev. Robert A. Roncase, Pastor of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church officiating. Interment follows at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
