Thomas A. "Tom"  Henry
Thomas A. Henry, 74, of Pennsburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville.

Born in East Greenville, he was a son of the late Leo Y. and Anna C. (Yerger) Henry.

Tom served in the US Army during Vietnam then he worked for many years as a Union Laborer, retiring in 2003 from Local #135 of Norristown. He also owned the former Hotel Harley in Pennsburg.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church of Pennsburg, the American Legion Post #184 of East Greenville, The East Greenville Fire Company and the Macungie Veteran’s Association.

Surviving are three children, Thomas M. Henry and companion, Nichole of Coopersburg; Diana M. Smith and husband, Shawn of Pennsburg; and Michael T. Henry and companion, Becky Gabel of Pottstown; siblings, Veronica S. Diehl and husband, Victor of East Greenville, Helen M. Gensel and wife of the late Phil of Woodbine, MD, Irvin P. “Butch” Henry and wife, Rena of Oley, Pauline M. Leister and husband, Donald of Muncy Valley and Andrew M. Henry and wife, Walli of East Greenville; four grandchildren, Sabrina K. and Nathan T. Smith, Avah Henry and Taylor. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by ten brothers, Maurice, Luke, John, Walter Sr., George, Raymond, Leonard, Martin, William and Alphonsus.

A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 610 Pine Street, Bally, PA 19504 with Monsignor Edward J. Coyle officiating. A private burial will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:30 until 10:45 am Monday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA.
