Obituary for Robert A. Slonaker Sr.

Robert A.  Slonaker Sr.
Robert A. Slonaker, Sr., 74, husband of the late Grace H. (Huber) Slonaker, of East Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in his home.

Born in East Greenville, he was the son of the late Ralph M. and Mildred (Barto) Slonaker.

He worked for 20 years as a custodian for the Upper Perkiomen Middle School retiring in 2013. Prior to that he had worked at Triangle Lumber Company in Quakertown and had also owned Colgan-Coll Door Company in Pennsburg.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam.

Robert was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ where he was a former member of the church consistory.

Surviving are his son, Robert A. Slonaker, Jr. of Allentown and a half-sister, Deborah, wife of Robert Anthony of East Greenville. Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Eva (Renninger) Slonaker.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, with the Rev. Deborah Rahn Clemens officiating. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9 until 11 am Wednesday at the church prior to the service. The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville is in charge of the arrangements. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
