Obituary for Catherine A. Schmoyer Rotenberger (Schwoyer)
Catherine A. (Schwoyer) Schmoyer Rotenberger, 84, widow of James C. Schmoyer and Charles W. Rotenberger, of Red Hill and formerly of Valrico, FL and East Greenville, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.
Born in Upper Hanover Twp., she was a daughter of the late Harvey A. and Helen (Moll) Schwoyer.
She was a longtime member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, Pennsburg; East Greenville Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge in Brandon, FL.
Surviving are five children, Sharon M., wife of Ernest Clemens of East Greenville; Raymond C. “Butch” Schmoyer and wife, Gail of East Greenville; Roxana C. Kulp of East Greenville; Dawn L., wife of Rick Eschbach of Pennsburg and Lisa A., wife of, Ronald Oberholtzer of East Greenville; two sisters, Hope Bernhard of Boyertown and Betty, wife of Daniel Wright of Pennsburg; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by a son, James C. Schmoyer, II and three brothers, Harvey, William and Robert Schwoyer.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Pennsburg UCC, 775 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA with Rev. Nicholas Pence officiating. There will be a visitation from 10 am until 11 am Friday at the church. Burial will follow in New Goshenhoppen Cemetery; East Greenville, PA Arrangements were entrusted to The Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville.
