Mildred J.  Gery (Styer)
Mildred J. (Styer) Gery, 86, widow of Clarence F. Gery, of Red Hill, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospice of Allentown.

Born in Geryville, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Estella (Mumbauer) Styer.

She was a graduate of Pennsburg High School.

Millie worked as an inspector for the former Perkiomen Clothing of Red Hill and while her children were in school she worked in the Upper Perkiomen Middle School Cafeteria.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Red Hill, Red Hill Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the Upper Perk Senior Center. Millie volunteered at the Community Thrift Shop in Red Hill and loved baking, the Eagles, Phillies and especially John Wayne. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Mitchell C. Gery and wife, Michele of Macungie; Millard D. Gery of Pennsburg; Shirley F. Betz of Red Hill; Sharon K., wife of Timothy Rom of East Greenville; Mark L. Gery and wife, Christina of Perkasie and Marshall G. Gery and wife, Doreen of Pennsburg; a twin brother, Millard Styer of Prompton and a sister, Shirley, wife of Paul Walker of Red Hill; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Michael W. Gery and a half-brother, Laverne Anderson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA with Rev. Charles Romanowski. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery of Red Hill. There will be a viewing from 10 am until 11 am Friday at the funeral home.
