Obituary for Arlin N Seasholtz

Arlin N  Seasholtz
Arlin N. Seasholtz, 73, husband of Dalene M. (Martin) Seasholtz, of Red Hill, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at home. He and his wife celebrated 51 years of marriage in April.

Born in East Greenville, he was a son of Elwood D. Seasholtz of Red Hill and the Late Mildred H. (Schultz) Seasholtz.

He was a 1960 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School, where he excelled in athletics and was also a member of the Upper Perkiomen High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Arlin worked as a manager in the quality control department at American Electronic Laboratory of Montgomeryville for 36 years before retiring in 2004. He also served as the secretary/treasurer of Red Hill Water Authority for many years.

Arlin was a veteran in the United States Army, serving in the Army Security Agency.


He was a member of the Frieden’s UCC softball team for many years, enjoyed playing golf at Macoby Run Golf Course in the Tuesday night league; and bowling in East Greenville Fire Company’s Thursday night league

Surviving are his children, Dr. Mary Beth Seasholtz, wife of Jon Zieman of Sanford, MI., Katherine, wife of Jamie Nyce of Pennsburg, and Greta, wife of Frank Salmons of Macungie; sisters, Roseann Olsommer of Canadensis, Donna Seasholtz of Whitehall, and Pamela, wife of Larry Burke of Lansdale; 7 grandchildren, Jacob and Carrie Nyce, Stephen and Liz Salmons, and Tabor, Mitchell and Roscoe Zieman.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Frieden’s United Church of Christ, 1011 Church Road, Sumneytown, PA with Rev. Martha Kriebel officiating.
