Obituary for Charles Herbert Pool

Charles Herbert  Pool
Charles Herbert Pool, 87, husband of Mary Elizabeth (Robb) Pool, of Barto, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Pennsburg Manor after a lengthy illness. He and his wife celebrated 61 years of marriage on June 12th.

Born in Worcester Township, Montgomery County, PA, he was the son of the late Charles A. and Ethel I. (Moyer) Pool.

Charles was an employee of Philco/Ford/Visteon Company in Lansdale, for 33 years before retiring in 1982. He also owned and operated the Marlborough Inn with his wife, Mary in the mid 1960’s. He maintained a small farm most of his life, and also was employed by Lehigh Valley Dairy and Longacre Poultry.

He served his country as a member of the US Army Air Force during World War II.

Surviving along with his wife are a son Michael C. Pool of Barto; two granddaughters, Brittany Pool, of East Greenville and Elizabeth Pool, of North Tonawanba New York; and 2 great grandchildren, Isaiah Brooks and Avery Cates; 2 sisters, Regina Hamilton, of Red Hill and Louella Trout of Hatfield. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Michelle M. Saylor; a brother, James R. Pool, and 2 sisters, Sabella Barnak and Mary Louise Foore.

At Charles request there will be no services.
