Mary R.  Schueck (Bechtel)
Mary R. (Bechtel) Schueck, 88, widow of William Homer Schueck, of Barto, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Allentown.

Born in New Berlinville, she was a daughter of the late Henry B. and Mary P. (Reiter) Bechtel.

She was a former member of Boyertown Mennonite and a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC; where she was a member of the Consistory, Health and Welfare Committee, Women’s Fellowship, where she helped with luncheons and a Sunday School teacher. Mary would also do visitations at Phoebe Wyncote.

Surviving are her two children, Arnold R. Schueck of Gilbertsville and Beatrice L., wife of Gerald Crowley of Boyertown; one sister, Sarah R., wife of Paul Forsythe of Harleysville; five grandchildren, Michael Schueck, Amy Guldin, Katie Schueck, Jonathan Crowley and Bryan Crowley and four great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Zachary, Daniel and Nicholas. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by four siblings, Naomi R. Mest, Thomas R., Philip R. and Jesse R. Bechtel.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at New Goshenhoppen UCC, 1070 Church Road, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Dr. Deborah Rahn Clemens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 7 pm until 8:30 pm Wednesday evening at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville and Thursday from 10 am until 11 am at the church.
