Obituary for Michael D. Benfield Jr.
Michael D. Benfield, Jr., 35, of East Greenville, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at home.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of Barbara (Weller) and Michael D. Benfield, Sr. of East Greenville.
Michael enjoyed working with his hands and Masonry.
He was a member of Red Hill VFW #5954 and the East Greenville Fire Co.
Michael was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer, where he would play at Macoby Run Golf Course. He enjoyed watching the history and golf channel and being with his friends and family.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his maternal grandparents, Charles and Geraldine (Adams) Weller of East Greenville; sister, Angie, wife of Brian Ruth of Gilbertsville; niece, Raelyn and nephews, Bryson and Blaine; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and his beloved dog, Bella. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Elaine (Kline) Benfield and his beloved dog, Sully.
A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, Pa with Rev. Debra Timmons officiating. Burial will be private. There will be a visitation from 2 pm until 4 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
