Beatrice Fern  Rothenberger (Miller)
Beatrice Fern (Miller) Rothenberger, 90, of Pennsburg, died on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at home.

Born in Upper Hanover Township, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Pearl (Moll) Miller.

She was employed by the Bally Ribbon Mill and the Pennsburg Clothing Factory. While being employed at the Bally Ribbon Mill during WWII, Beatrice supported the war effort through her job, weaving parachute straps.

She is a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Niantic. Mrs. Rothenberger was also a member of American Legion Post #184 Auxiliary and was an avid bowler in the Legion’s women’s bowling league.

Surviving is one daughter, Diane L., wife of John Bouwkamp of MD; two sons, Dennis R. Rothenberger and wife, Renee of PA and Leroy Rothenberger, Jr. and wife, Diane, of OH; one brother, Henry Miller and wife, Elsie ; a brother-in-law, Ralph Urmy and sister-in-law, June, wife of Harold Reigner; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, wife of Aaron, Lynn, Deborah, Katherine, Tara, wife of Dipesh, Adam and wife, Jennifer, Joshua and wife, Jade and Nicholas and wife, Heather; and 11 great-grandchildren, Wesley, Kaia, Dylan, Drue, Maya, Ella, Kaleb, Gavin, Caleb, Sloan and Beau. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leroy Rothenberger, Sr., a brother, Ray Miller and two sisters, Ruby Bitting and Jean Urmy.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home, 222 Washington Street, East Greenville, PA 18041 with Rev. Matthew Ollikainen officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home prior to the service. Offer sympathy to the family at www.mannslonakerfuneralhome.com.
